The Space Beyond

The Space Beyond is an exploration of the camera, the intermediary between the retina and the image. In photography, we often talk about the image itself: the composition, the colours, the subject. We rarely give much thought to the camera that captures these moments, unless we’re chatting to tech geeks. Where does the image come from? Where are the particles, the matter, the photons of a moment stored as crystals or bits? This photo series explores this question by taking an old camera apart.
